Mallow United are delighted to announce that the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport have given their backing to the development of St. Gobnaits Park with a much needed €90k Sports Capital grant. The financial support ensures that the club can begin works on the development of its new astroturf training pitch and upgrade of the existing pitch in early 2020.
Mallow United would like to thank all political representatives who supported our application. A special thanks to Mary Magner for all her hard work in submitting our application and to chairman Tim Barrett for his exhaustive efforts to bring the project to its current state.
While the grant will provide much appreciated assistance, completion of the project will require a number of significant fundraising efforts and we look forward to the continued support of the community which is vital to the success of the project.
