https://mallowunited.teamapp.com/store?_list=v1The first Mallow United Club Facilities draw which is a major part of the fundraising efforts for the development of St. Gobnaits Park is fast approaching with the first draw set to take place on October 31st. Last week we opened our new state of the art astroturf which will serve as a training base for all our boys, girls, and adult teams. The development project at St. Gobnaits also includes the levelling and drainage of the grass pitch (set to be ready in September 2021) and provides us with modern facilities, a home that we can be proud of and is a significant step forward for the club. The project, costing €500k, has been financed in part from the clubs development fund, grants from funding agencies and borrowings from a charitable lending body that backs projects that benefit communities.
An important part of the financing of the project is the launch of our Club Facilities Draw which has taken on greater significance since all other funding raising mechanisms that the club relies on such as flags days, church gates, table quiz etc. have been suspended due to Covid restrictions.
Mallow United hope that the local community who have always supported the club so well will get behind the club once again and help make our dream a reality. The monthly draws will start at the on October 31st with prizes of €500 for 1st and €100 each for 2nd and 3rd each month. To enter the draw for the year (comprising 12 monthly draws) entrants can pay €100 as a one-off payment or €10 per month for 12 months. Tickets can be purchased from the online club shop, from Mallow United coaches or contact Billy O’Keeffe on 086 106 2724.
