Mallow United Boys Line Out for Ireland U14s

10 MAY | BY MALLOW UNITED PRO

It was a proud day for two Mallow United boys, their families and all involved with the club last Saturday as Donncadh O’Doherty and Ciarán O’Sullivan made their debuts for the Republic of Ireland U14s in a friendly fixture against Shelbourne FC U15s. The boys have been part of the FAI emerging talent program for the last 18 months and remain very much in the fold as the FAI prepare a squad for competitive fixtures at U15 level. Mallow United are no strangers to the international set-up with Patryk Osinski who currently plays in the Cork Youth League with Mallow United U18s having lined out for Irish schoolboy teams in recent years.
Twenty four hours after lining out in the Irish shirt the boys were back in the red of Mallow United as the U14s defeated St. Marys to book their place in the final of the Cork Schoolboys League Local Cup final against Corinthians Boys.
