Mallow United U14 boys were in Catalonia last weekend taking on the might of Europe in the Football Cup Barcelona. The Mallow boys topped their group going unbeaten and scoring 19 and conceding only a single goal after facing opposition from Sweden, France, Scotland and Spain. Mallow then progressed to the final where they went down 1-0 to Belgian side Royal Olympic Charleroi finishing runners up in the competition. Well done to the parents, boys and coaches Derek Fortune and Prince Amechi who have done extraordinarily well and have put Mallow on the footballing map on the international stage.
