U12 Girls Win in Carrigaline

Cork Womens and Schoolgirls Soccer League U12 Cup

Carrigaline United 6 – 8 Mallow United

A superb performance by Mallow United U12 girls saw them take their first win of the season away to Carrigaline in the Cork Womens and Schoolgirls Soccer League Cup. A free flowing game saw plenty of goals at either end. Titi Kone Sedigui in the Mallow goal was kept busy throughout and played a key role in the Mallow win helped by Niamh Williams, Emma Brown, Danni Walsh and Aisling McCormack who all battled hard in defence. Mallow trailed 6-5 at half-time but stepped up the pressure in the second half with Doireann Breslin, Molly Buckley, Emily O Mahony and Rachel Nolan getting the better of the Carrigaline midfield. Up front Lois Asante was in unstoppable form finding the back of the net 7 times with Niamh Williams getting another goal for Mallow. A well deserved win for Mallow sees them progress to the next round of the Cup where coaches Kim Walsh and Sophie Tuohy will be hoping for another great effort from the girls.Well done to players and coaches!
