Cork Schoolboys League U14 Premier

Crosshaven 1 – 6 Mallow United

Mallow Uniteds U14 Premier team continued there impressive start to the season with a good away win at Crosshaven. The game was never in any real doubt as Mallow started strong controlling the game throughout the pitch. Crosshaven tried to counter-attack when in possession but with a formidable back five which included Artur Osinki, Daniel Ryan, Donnchad O’Doherty, Shane O’Connell and Ben Creedon they found it very difficult to break through the Mallow United rear-guard. As the game progressed Mallow increased the pressure and began to threaten with some fantastic play around the middle of the pitch from Ben Buckley, Alex O’Leary and Ciaran O’Sullivan. Mallow got the breakthrough they deserved with Kennedy Amechi slotted home from close range. The Mallow front line was in fine form with Evan Magner linking well with Leon Doody throughout the game. Amechi continued to penetrate the Crosshaven defence and claimed a hatrick as Shane O’Connell added 2 with Alex O’Leary rounding off the scoring with a fine shot. Subs used were Paul Griffin, Joe Power and John all of whom impressed when introduced. Well done to all involved a fantastic start to the season winning five games out of six putting Mallow United U14s joint top of the Premier Division.
