Mallow United and Ringmahon Rangers Claim Titles at 100 Cup

The inaugural Mallow United 100 Cup in aid of Irish guide Dogs for the Blind took place last weekend and was a great success for all involved. On the day U12 and U13 teams from Clonmel Celtic, Killarney Celtic, Fairview Rangers, Ringmahon Rangers, Villa F.C., St. Brendans Park, Bantry Bay Rovers and Mallow United battled it out for the 100 Cup Trophies.

After topping their group with a 100% record Mallow United took the U12 100 Cup title with a 2-0 win over a strong Ringmahon Rangers. Mallows Aaron Owens and Cathal Mullins showed consistency throughout the tournament scoring one apiece in each game including the final. U12 top scorer was Josh Bowler of Killarney Celtic while Richard McAuliffe of Mallow United took the U12 Golden Gloves award.

In the U13 tournament Ringmahon Rangers came out winners with a 4-1 win over Killarney Celtic in the final. U13 top scorer was Matthew Te Pou of Fairview Rangers and Liam O’Donoghue of Killarney Celtic claimed the U13 Golden Gloves award.

Mallow United would like to thank all volunteers and sponsors who supported the event and the Dilworth family who donated the trophies for the winning teams.

Congratulations to Danny Kelleher c/o the Meat Centre Mallow on winning the framed Irish Jersey signed by Roy Keane that was raffled on the day in aid of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
